Lake Dižiere

Diziere (also known as Pilsezers Lake, Dizezers Lake, Diezieres Lake, Dizierinezers Lake, Big (Lielais) Lake, Pils Lake, Stiklu Lake) is a brown water lake in Puzes parish of Ventspils region. It is located in a group of the Stiklu Lakes in the south of Stiklu village in the glaciocarstic depression. There is an island of 0,12 ha in the lake. The shores are shallow, the bottom of the lake is sandy. Three ditches, including the Dzilenes Lake in the west, flow into the lake, and the Veciere River flows out of the lake to the Mazieres Lake, and further to the Rakupe River.


The lake is inhabited by pikes, breams, roaches, perches, tenches, eels. There is a place for swimming and recreation area on the north shore.
