Suntazi Evangelical Lutheran Church

The church was built during 1780–1782, and designed by the project of an architect K. Hāberlands.
In 1874, it was reconstructed. The church bell is one of the biggest bells among all the other Lutheran country churches in Latvia. Its weight is 1.4 metric tons, and the words "Tuvojieties Dievam, tad Viņš tuvosies jums" ("Come closer to God, and He will come closer to you ") are written on the sides of the bell. The church and its interior elements – an altar, a pulpit, benches, a pipe organ facade, and a gallery – are a cultural monument of national importance.

The Suntaži Lutheran church was built in 1223. The stone shurch which can be seen today was built in 1782 by the project of Riga construction master Kristof Haberland. The church is one of the symbols of Suntaži village. The church bell is the largest bell between the rural churches in Latvia and its sides decorate the inscription "When today you hear my voice, do not harden your heart".
