The church, whose origins date back to the 14th century, has been repeatedly damaged and rebuilt. The last reconstruction took place in 1937 under the guidance of the architect Pauls Kundziņš. On the church facade, you can still see two Livonian reliefs which are unique Latvian history of art monuments from the 14th- 15th centuries.
Visitors are offered a tour of the church, a story of the parish history, going up the church tower to see Rauna from above, as well as a small organ concert.
