The Historical Bridge of Garoza River

Garoza manor park dates back to 1791, when a beautiful and well-kept recreation garden with elements of Baroque and sentimentalism was created here. In the second half of the 19th century it was transformed into an English landscape park. In the summer of 2019, the park underwent major improvement works.

Garoza Manor Park is located in Garoza village, Mežotne Parish, ~ 16 km from Bauska.

Entering the village of Garoza you have to cross the historical bridge over the river Garoza, the historical park of Garoza Manor starts on the right side of the road.

The landscape of this park is unique with the passage of the small Garoza River, which is crossed by a romantic arched bridge and a pond near the park entrance. At present, when the ruins of the old manor house have completely disappeared, the Garoza Park on the banks of the Garoza River is the only place that will remind us of the existance of the former manor.

Currently, the park has walking paths, a parking lot, a stage, lighting of the territory, tree and shrub plantings, benches for relaxation and an information stand. In the spring of 2019, new maple trees, hazelnut trees,  elderberry and sweet cherry trees were planted in the park, which have now successfully grown and are decorating the park with with its blossom and flowers.
